Meet Marymount Reston at NOVA Loudoun’s Adult Learner Fair September 15

Meet representatives of Marymount University’s Reston Center at Northern Virginia Community College’s (NOVA) Loudoun Campus for the Fall 2015 Adult Learner Fair on Tuesday, September 15, 4-7 PM. The fair will be held in the second floor event space in NOVA Loudoun’s Higher Education Center.

Marymount Reston’s partnership with NOVA includes transfer agreements that lead to four-year degrees from Marymount’s Business Administration and Interior Design programs. At the event, learn about admission requirements and transfer credit policies for these Marymount Reston programs.

Marymount’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students can take advantage of evening offerings from the Reston Center in Fall 2015. Summer Reston BBA courses occur between August 31 and December 19, 2015.

FIN 301 Financial Management
Tuesdays 6:30-9:15pm
The fundamentals of business finance, including financial analysis, planning, and control; management of working capital; analysis of long-term investment opportunities; and examination of internal and external sources of financing. Prerequisites: ACT 202. (3)

LA 248 Business Law I
Wednesday 6:30PM-9:15pm

A study of the rights and relationships involved in the laws of contracts, sales and agency, including the Uniform Commercial Code. Prerequisite: MGT 123. (3)

MSC 345 Project Management
Tuesday 6:30-9:15pm

An introduction to the concepts, methods, and applications of project management as practiced by government and private industry. Students will become acquainted with the quantitative tools used in project management and with computer-based software tools. The course will also focus on the managerial and behavioral aspects of project management. (3)

Summer 2015 BBA Courses from Marymount Reston

Marymount’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students can take advantage of offerings from the Reston Center in Summer 2015. Courses include a convenient evening course as well as two online courses. Summer Reston BBA courses occur between May 18 and August 1, 2015.

LA 249 Business Law II
Tuesdays – 6-10pm
A study of the law relating to the development and operations of partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations, and of the government agencies that regulate business. Prerequisite: LA 248. (3)

MGT 304 Organizational Management
Online
A study of behavior in organizations and influences of individual, group, and organizational processes on performance. Among the topics that will be introduced are interpersonal perception, motivation, group and team dynamics, decision-making, influence and conflict, interpersonal communication, and organizational cultures. For students completing a Bachelor of Business Administration, a minimum grade of C is required to continue in the program. Prerequisite: MGT 123 or EN 102. (3)

MKT 485 International Marketing
Online
Lectures, discussion, and case studies are used to understand international and multinational marketing. Specific topics include the importance of culture, international marketing groups, channel structures, and ethical issues. Prerequisite: MKT 301.
