Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training develops the critical skills required to improve organizational performance, drive out waste and reduce defects. Loudoun Chamber Members Can Take Advantage of Discount on Marymount Graduate Programs

Marymount University has teamed up with the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce for an exciting new offer for Chamber members.

Current Chamber members and their employees will receive a 15% discount off Marymount’s regular tuition rate for graduate-level programs offered through the university’s four academic schools.  This offer excludes the university’s physical therapy program.  Family members are not eligible for the discount.  Employees of businesses contracting to members are also not eligible.

Marymount University boasts three locations with a main campus in Arlington and sites in Reston and Ballston.  The Reston location offers graduate courses in Education, Human Resource Management and Leadership and Management.  The university now offers an online Master of Business Administration (MBA) as well.

Spring 2017 BBA Courses at Marymount Reston

Marymount’s Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) students can take advantage of offerings from the Reston Center in Spring 2017.

IT 110 Information Technology In the Global Age (online) Introduces students to the role of information technology in today’s global business, political, and government environments, and in society in general. It examines the role of technology globally, particularly as it is used for cultural awareness. Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: GP. (3)

LA 248 Business Law I  (Tuesdays 6:30pm-9:15 pm) A study of the rights and relationships involved  in the laws of contracts, sales and agency, including the Uniform Commercial Code. Prerequisite: MGT 123.

MKT 301 Principles of Marketing (online) A study of the system of interacting business activities that deliver goods and services to present and potential customers. Analysis of the problems of planning, research, and logistics that confront the modern marketing manager. Prerequisite: EN 102. (3)

MSC 300 Business Statistics (Thursdays 6:30-9:15pm) Introduces students to the basic descriptive and inferential statistical procedures used in the analysis of data and testing hypotheses in a business environment. Commonly available spreadsheet software is used. Prerequisite: MA 151 or equivalent. Liberal Arts Core/ University Requirement Designation: DSINQ. (3)

MSC 337 Operations Management (online) A study of the concepts, issues, and decisions facing production and operations managers through the identification and analysis of a variety of operational systems. Emphasis on quantitative analysis techniques used by managers to solve these problems. Extensive use of microcomputer models. Prerequisites: MSC 300 or MA 132. (3)

FIN 301 Financial Management
Thursdays 6:30-9:15pm
The fundamentals of business finance, including financial analysis, planning, and control; management of working capital; analysis of long-term investment opportunities; and examination of internal and external sources of financing. Prerequisites: ACT 202. (3)

LA 249 Business Law II
Wednesdays 6:30PM-9:15pm

A study of the law relating to the development and operations of partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations, and of the government agencies that regulate business. Prerequisite: LA 248. (3)

MGT 291 Business Communication
Tuesdays 6:30-9:15pm

Focuses on the skills and approaches people in the business environment must have to communicate effectively at work. Emphasizes writing in a variety of formats, preparing and delivering business presentations, writing in teams, negotiating and interpersonal communication skills, and spending 40 percent of one’s time with every writing/speaking assignment engaged in editing and revision. Requires successful demonstration in the use of today’s technology to communicate with a variety of business audiences. Knowledge of PowerPoint required. Prerequisite: EN 102. MSC 345 Project Management
Tuesdays, 6:30-9:15pm
An introduction to the concepts, methods, and applications of project management as practiced by government and private industry. Students will become acquainted with the quantitative tools used in project management and with computer-based software tools. The course will also focus on the managerial and behavioral aspects of project management. (3)
