On Monday, October 27, the Reston Center presented certificates to nine graduates of Marymount University’s inaugural Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Green Belt program. Following presentation of their final projects, instructor Monroe Ratchford of Leaps Consulting joined the graduates for a ceremony marking the completion of the 40-hour professional development program.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training develops the critical skills required to serve on project teams. Participants learn how to use many of the proven Six Sigma problem-solving methods and statistical tools to contribute to the success of their organization, including processes for collecting and analyzing data, and leading and executing process-level improvement projects. Students in the Fall 2014 course came from various professional fields including Health Care Management, Law, Real Estate and Business.
Graduates shared their appreciation for the program, and offered the following comments:
