Mary Agee, president and CEO of Northern Virginia Family Service (NVFS), discussed the challenges and opportunities facing modern nonprofits during her Thought Leader presentation at Marymount University’s Reston Center on April 5.
Agee stressed the need for nonprofit managers to adapt to changes in the community. She based her comments on the highly-influential book Forces for Good and noted the authors’ emphasis on the adaptability of successful nonprofits.
Marymount Reston’s Thought Leader series is a quarterly event program featuring community leaders speaking on subjects aligned with the Reston Center’s undergraduate and graduate programs. Agee’s spoke in support of Marymount’s Nonprofit Graduate Certificate program at the Reston Center.
