Register for Spring 2015 BBA Night Courses at Marymount Reston


Marymount University’s Reston Center is pleased to offer a slate of Spring 2015 Evening Courses for students pursuing the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.

The course schedule is designed to meet the needs of third and fourth-year students in the Marymount program including new transfer students from Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA).

Spring 2015 classes begin January 12.

LA 248 Business Law I
A study of the rights and relationships involved in the laws of contracts, sales and agency, including the Uniform Commercial Code. Prerequisite: MGT 123. (3)

PH 305 Business Ethics
Examines the ethical foundations of business and the role of ethical judgment in business decisions. The course reviews theoretical foundations and examines case study applications. Prerequisites: EN 102 and PH 200. Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: ETH, PH-2. (3)

IT 110 Information Technology in the Global Age
Introduces students to the role of information technology in today’s global business, political, and government environments, and in society in general. It examines the role of technology globally, particularly as it is used for cultural awareness, business development, political change, and social improvement. The negative aspects of technology (e.g., dumping of end-of-life hardware in developing countries) are also discussed. The course studies infrastructure (hardware and software, networks, the Internet), communications, software and website development, databases, and information security and privacy.Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: GP. MSC 300 Business Statistics
Introduces students to the basic descriptive and inferential statistical procedures used in the analysis of data and testing of hypotheses in a business environment. Commonly available spreadsheet software is used. Prerequisite: MA 155 or equivalent. Liberal Arts Core/University Requirements Designation: DSINQ. (3)

Fall 2014 Dates for Miller Analogies Test (MAT) at the Reston Center

Marymount University’s Reston Center is a testing center for Pearson Education’s Miller Analogies Test (MAT).

Marymount Reston will offer the MAT on the following dates during the Fall 2014 semester:

Candidates should arrive at 9:30 a.m. to check in. The test begins at 10:00 a.m.

*FEE: $75 if registered before date of test
          $100 if registering day of test

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training develops the critical skills required to serve on project teams. Participants learn how to use many of the proven Six Sigma problem-solving methods and statistical tools to contribute to the success of their organization, including processes for collecting and analyzing data, and leading and executing process-level improvement projects.
